Lunch with pappa and mamma

Table no 9 is a very special table...

Today we met pappa after work and went to The Engineer in Primrose Hill. This is (as mentioned before) a very special place for us, as this is where we got together for the first time.

Unfortunately,it is at risk of being closed down so we are trying our best to support it as much as we can!

Bored at the cinema

Asleep (and naked) on the way home

Today we went to the cinema with godmother Meryem. It was the hottest day of the year (+30) and the cinema was packed with about 100 mums and 100 babies! Alva was very good at the beginning of the film but halfway through, she got really hot and tired so I had to take off all her clothes apart from the nappy. She then happily played on the floor for a while until she told me that she was hungry. Five minutes later she fell asleep...

5 months and new food!

Our gorgeous little monkey turned 5 months yesterday! And to celebrate, we tried to give her solid food for the first time. We tried porridge....and she loved it! So for the next 2 weeks, she will get 3 small spoons of porridge or puree once a day. Then we will increase it to twice a day.

Morfar Tage visit

A few weeks ago morfar Tage visited Alva for the first time. Whilst morfar and Ramune babysat Alva saturday evening, Klaus and I went out for dinner at Jin Kichi japanese restaurant in Hampstead and then we went to the cinema (for the first time since 23rd January!). It was wonderful to be able to spend some "couple time". Unfortunately, the evening didnt go quite so well back home...;-)

Mummy & Me yoga

So, today we finally made it to the mummy & me yoga class! Ive been trying to go for the last 3 months but each time something has gotten in the way (or I was too exhausted!).

The class was really great. The first hour was intense yoga workout mainly for the mums and we used our babies as a part of the yoga positions. For instance on our stomach doing situps or lying on our knees and we lift the legs up and down.

The last 30 minutes of the class were for the babies and we sang and did yoga positions for the babies, rocking them back and forth, arms up and down etc. Alva loved it and giggled through the whole class!

Afterwards, we went to Primrose Hill and laid on the grass in the sunshine. Perfect!

A day at the museum

Yesterday we went to the Victoria & Albert museum. They have a little garden in the middle and a beautiful fountain. Alva loved watching the water splash!
